VIP Walk & Talk: Leadership in Motion

Deep coaching. Open skies. Real clarity.

In sport, performance is everything.

But even high performers hit a wall when they don’t take space to think.

VIP Walk & Talk is leadership coaching built for those who know the value of movement.

A half-day experience in the North or South Downs – where nature, strategy, and leadership meet.

Because the best decisions don’t always come from sitting still.

Sometimes, you need to walk them out.

This is for you if:

You’re a leader in sport or performance environments, and you’re:

  • Leading a team through change, tension, or high-pressure delivery
  • Making big decisions about your career or direction
  • Balancing results, relationships, and your own wellbeing
  • Craving a reset—but don’t want to sit through another Zoom session

Whether you’re managing elite teams, running grassroots programmes, or building something new – you need time to think at your level.

What the VIP Walk & Talk includes:

  • 4–5 hours of 1:1 coaching while walking outdoors
  • Customised route along the North or South Downs (hills, woodland, space to move)
  • A personalised briefing to define the focus
  • A packed lunch (good quality, fresh, local)
  • A drink and debrief in a local pub, bar, or café at the finish

You’ll walk away with renewed perspective, clearer priorities, and energy in your stride.

Why walk

As a leader in sport, you already know:

  • Movement sharpens thinking
  • The environment shapes mindset
  • The best conversations happen side-by-side, not face-to-face

This isn’t a generic coaching session.

This is Leadership in Motion – where your goals, ideas, and challenges move with you.

About your VIP Walk & Talk Coach

I don’t just use walking in my coaching.

I’ve walked through some of life’s toughest terrain – literally and metaphorically.

Years ago, I had a horrific racing accident on the bike. Concussion. Head injury. Broken confidence.

It took determination, discipline, and time – but in a few months I fought my way back to full racing fitness .

More recently, I signed up for a marathon charity hike on the South Downs.

One month before the event, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I couldn’t complete the hike that year – but I trained anyway.

The next year, I came back and did a tougher one – on the Jurassic Coast. The hardest physical challenge I’ve ever done.

Since then, I’ve kept walking:

  • Across the North Downs, where I now guide clients
  • Along stages of the Camino de Santiago, finding space to think
  • Through every season, using movement to process, reset, and lead

I’ve also trained and qualified in navigation, so we don’t get lost – and while I rarely need the map, it reflects the level of care and professionalism I bring to every experience.

Because this isn’t just a walk.

“This isn’t just fresh air and chat. It’s leadership coaching, delivered by someone who knows the value of endurance, recovery and clarity.”

It’s a focused, high-quality space for you to move through big questions, big decisions, and the things that keep you stuck.

I’ve coached senior leaders, elite performers, founders, and changemakers.

What they have in common?

They all needed space to think – and someone to help them find their way forward.

This work is about clarity, resilience, and forward movement – in every sense.

Want something gentler – but just as impactful?

Not everyone wants hills and mud.

For some leaders, a slower, more scenic pace opens up the same clarity and space to think.

That’s why I also offer Leadership in Motion sessions at inspiring outdoor locations such as:

  • Sissinghurst Castle Garden
  • Hever Castle and grounds
  • Chartwell
  • Or a location of your choosing

We still walk. We still coach. But the terrain is gentler, and the pace is tailored to suit where you are – physically and mentally.

This option is ideal if:

  • You’re new to walking or recovering from injury
  • You want space to reflect somewhere beautiful, but accessible
  • You love history, gardens, or quiet surroundings to spark thought

Whether we’re on the trails or in a castle garden, the impact is the same: Focused coaching, grounded presence, powerful insights.
