Helping charity leaders build a strong team culture with high-performing productive teams engaged and inspired to achieve your charity’s mission

A former Global Head of IT Service in a major City law firm with over 25 years of leadership experience, I set up my independent coaching and consultancy practice in 2012.

I have been deeply immersed in the charity sector since 2002 when I got actively involved with NCT as a passionate campaigner and volunteer. I have now been working with charities as a freelance coach and facilitator since 2005. Currently I sit on the board of trustees for one of the UK’s leading membership charities. I joined the board shortly before the Covid lockdown which means that I am acutely aware of the impact of the pandemic, even today, on income streams, demand and employee morale.

I specialise in helping leaders in charities and the non-profit sector transform their teams into high-performing collaborative teams who are motivated and inspired to achieve your charity’s mission so that you rise above the challenges of ever increasing demand, rising costs and reduced income.

Services include team performance coaching, team leadership coaching, team away days, action learning sets, agile delivery, team coaching, leadership coaching, and team workshops.

I have worked with a range of charities including Age UK, Citizens Advice, LionHeart, Macmillan Cancer Support and NCT.

Get in touch if you want to transform your team culture so that you see more engagement, more collaboration, more creativity and more productivity across your whole charity which means that your employees will deliver your charity’s strategic objectives.

WHAT ORGANISATIONS SAY ABOUT ME

“I have been working with Sherry for a year or so – she has been absolutely instrumental in supporting me to move back to perm and then to my Director level role. I am grateful that my organisation recognises we need to balance up gender in senior roles but there is a long way to go. Working with Sherry gave me the space to innovate, to express thoughts and share ideas before putting them into action! Everyone needs a Sherry in their life! Thank-you.”

Claire Reeves, Director, Deloitte

“Sherry brought clarity, camaraderie, calm and great skill to our tech transformation. With a real ability to engage very different groups of stakeholders, Sherry was a fundamental pivot for the whole programme winning everyone’s respect.”

Nick Wilkie, Chief Executive, NCT

“Sherry comes with a deep level of expert knowledge and I found her easy to work with as did my staff. She helped further the strength of our facility through her review and we expect to use her skills again shortly.”

Duncan Eadie, Chief Technology Officer, Foot Anstey

“My staff have found their work with Sherry of enormous value and it has proved extremely helpful in the overall management of the team.

Sherry’s expert coaching skills bring out the best in staff by assisting them to elicit their own needs and then working with them to develop real-life plans to improve performance.”

Maurice Millen, Head of IT, Macfarlanes

“Sherry came to talk to our Women@Keytree group. The whole group enjoyed her engaging presentation on Career Aspirations and Imposter Syndrome. There was much lively discussion generated facilitated by Sherry’s highly approachable and warm personal style. Thank you!”

Rebecca Bennett, Head of HR, Keytree

“Being coached by Sherry was an enriching experience and really helped me grow. Her structured questioning promoted focus on specific issues allied to exploration of a wide range of potential solutions. Sherry created focus in each session so I developed a concrete action list. I’d recommend Sherry’s coaching style and approach to anyone who wants to maximise benefit from coaching.”

Fay Simcock, Senior Product Owner, TomTom
